Valdez July 5th 7th
The scenery on the second half of the way to Valdez is spectacular. The highway is one of the better ones so far.
When we got here the first RV Park we went to was full, we found a spot in Valdez RV Park. Gravel parking lot but full services and good cell service. As I was unhooking the trailer a C17 Globemaster did a mock landing at the airport.
I took these yesterday and again this morning, weather is changing. It burnt off in the afternoon, so we drove back up the hill for these shots.
It was time for a late lunch when we got back, ended up in the Fat Mermaid. Pat had Chicken Taco's and I had the shrimp ones, they were good. I did ask about the King Crab legs, $109.00 for around a pound leg. I said no thanks, I will wait till Costco has them again.

The airport is up the valley.
The views from our the campsite and from down town. It is less that a half a block walk to town.

Horsetail Falls and Bridalveil Falls.

Drove up to Valdez Glacier, this is the toe, the water you can see is a maze for about three miles. It goes up the valley, you can't see it from where we are.
The trip to Valdez has been awesome, ranks right up there with Atlin and Skagway. And NO Mosquitos.
Back up to Glennallen tomorrow.

Awesome pics Hartley, makes one wish for our old days of RVing!!
