On our way home July 22nd 26th

For a Provincial Park, 10 Mile Lake is interesting. It has 23 pull throughs. Here's a picture.

There are three or four in a row, then a bunch of bush. We chose this site because we had bush on one side.
After a bit, Jack comes out of the bush with a mouse hanging out of his mouth. I was in getting supper and closed the door so he couldn't get in, then when he dropped it Pat grabbed Jack and put him in the trailer. The mouse ran away. So, after supper we are in the trailer and Jack is locked in. The mouse comes back to taunt him, running around the picnic table. All he can do is watch from the door, I guess the mouse got the last laugh.

We left there and headed down 97 and turned left onto Hwy 24, it takes you across to Hwy 5. Nice drive, we checked out Bridge Lake PP. This one is very old, the spaces are small, as is the maneuvering room. There was only one or two site we would fit in and you would have to be lucky to find one empty. I think we will cross that one off our list.

We ended up at Paul Lk. PP, one of our favorites. Got backed in and set up. Got out the lawn chairs and sat down to relax. Ah, the sweet smell of dog crap on a warm day. Scouted around and found it, Pat was a trooper and got a plastic bag and picked it up. When the parks guy came we showed the bag to him and he took it away. He was not happy that it had been left there and made a note for the clean up people to inspect the sites better.

Because our trailer is a little light on the hitch, I like to travel with a full tank of water. The info centre in Kamloops has good water, so we filled up and headed down the Coq. On most roads 90km is standard, so the hitch weight is not a problem. Without the weight, any speeds over 100km, it does not tow good. With the weight it tows fine, as long as I keep it to 105km, the speed limit there is 120km. I can boost it to 110km or so to pass but I don't like to travel that fast anymore. We stopped at Britton Creek rest area for a hot dog for lunch, then down the hill we came. We got here at Spectrum Field around 3:00 pm, time to relax before supper.

We will stay here today to see Ryan and family, do a Costco run, then head home tomorrow. We tried to get  ferry reservation, there are none for at least two weeks. We will go there tomorrow and hope we don't sit to long. Not too bad for us, we can keep cool. it's Jack we worry about.

I will do a break down of millage and expenses when I get home.

Campsites at Fraser Lk. and Lac La Hache.
