Glennallen July 2nd July 4th.
The road from Tok to Glennallen is pretty good, just a few rough spots. We are staying in a state park just out of town. Not much of a town, IGA, fuel station and a bank. There are some nice mountains to look at on the way here though. This is the best thing in town. Although it sounds British, it got it's name from these guys. Major Edwin Glenn and Lt. Henry Allen, both leaders in the early explorations of the Copper River region.
Mt. Sanford.
The pullouts are never in the optimum place for photos, at least there are some.
Pat's pet peeve is road side garbage, glad to say there has been very
little. The most we have seen is at pullouts and usually there is a
garbage can, go figure.
We have decided to stay here till after July 4th, not sure what the campground availability would be. We will have to get out the mosquito tent, as they are trying to pack us away. Even the thermocells are not very efficient with this many.
A shot of Mt Drumm, with Sanford in the back, to the left. Bottom picture.
We did find a couple of caches in the area, one near where the above photos were taken.
This campsite is laid out a little different, tent spot and picnic table, fire pit off to the side. I am standing by the fire ring for this photo.
Time to pack up and head to Valdez.

Stunning mountain views. Is that your mosquito tent?
