Skagway June 24th 26th

We made it, now down the ten mile hill to Skagway. Love that exhaust brake, didn't have to touch the brakes all the way down. The scenery from Carcross to Skagway is spectacular. The first part you follow along Tagish LK. the Bennett Lk. Then a Glacier scarred rocky area before you come to the hill. A few pictures on the way to Skagway.

The boarder crossing went pretty smooth, we had taken everything that we thought of out of the frig. etc. But we forgot three cherry tomatoes and a repackaged bag of Polish sausage, They missed the steak and pork chop and hamburger. My guess is they wanted the sausage for lunch.

First glimpse of Skagway.

There were three of these ships in port, so the drive through town was harrowing. Trying not to run over stupid tourists. They like to stand in the middle of the street and take pictures. We finally made it out to the RV site, it was very nice, the campgrounds are run by the city. We drove up to a lookout above town for this shot. The patch of trees in the middle of the photo, that is the campground.

Another photo from up the hill.
I have lots more to post but the photos are taking forever to load, I will try again later.
