Liard Hwy June 10th
After breakfast, we took a drive up the Liard Hwy. We only went about half an hour up and back because the scenery doesn't change, gravel road and trees. Although we did come across three herds of these.
The baby in the centre of the photo put on a show for us. Jumping, prancing and rolling on the ground, fun to watch. This one must have been the sentinal, it never took it's eyes of us the whole time we were parked on the side of the road. Before we went back to the campsite, we cheched out Ft. Liard. Nice little town, one general store, one gas station and a groecery store. The general store had a little of everything, cool store. The grocery store was well stocked. Fuel was $2.297, second most so far. Our stay here has been great, we are glad we decided to check out the NWT.
They have a water treatment plant, everyone gets their water there. There is no piped water system, they get their water delivered to a tank in the house. The main steats are paved, the rest are good gravel.
We are going to see how much water we can get for a loonie. The despencer is timed and no one could tell us how much water we would get or how long the timer stays on. I will post my findings latter.
Today we are heading towards Muncho LK., we will stop for the night somewhere inbetween.

Enjoying the updates! McDonald Campground at Muncho Lake looks like an interesting spot... I am sure there are several to choose from.
