 This is another very nice PP, would have stayed longer but we were booked in at Banff. The Park Operator and the deer were very entertaining.

In real time, we are just leaving Banff, the cell is very week here. words are no problem but pictures take forever to load. Hopefully I can catch up in Jasper.

Buckinghorse June 7th

On the way to Buckinghorse, we had to stop on the highway for a momma moose and her baby. Unfortunately, while towing, I can't get the camera out fast enough to get a photo. The weather has been sun, cloud, sun, cloud. When we got to the campsite, we got to sit out for half an hour or so before the clouds came again. The river is way higher than when we were here last Aug. We secured a site at the Triple G RV park and began contemplating our next moves. A couple of units pulled in beside us from Saskatchewan and started to set up. It was clear that RVing was new to them. The gal was trying to help and was attempting to hookup the city water to the trailer. As she was having difficulty, the guy finished doing it for her. A little while later I hear him say that they must not be level as water was dripping off their roof.  Turns out they hooked the water hose to the black tank flush and they filled the tank till the water was coming out the roof vent. Fraser Lk. July 21st.

 Smithers is one of our favorite towns, great mountain views, nicely laid out, clean and a great municipal RV park. with full hookups. We stayed for two nights, got caught up on laundry, shopping (food) and reading our books.  Next stop was Fraser Lk. another municipal campground, this one by donation, which we did. It is on White Swan Lk., no services, but nice location. I think there was maybe 10 campsites, about half were used by evening. A few bike tent campers were staying on the grass by the lake. One couple were planning on carrying on to Argentina, good luck. These sites were pull throughs, no privacy, but for one night no big deal. There was lots of grass between the sites. We are now at Ten Mile Lake PP. just north of Quesnel, another nice PP. Being the weekend, a few locals ready to party, but they were all quite by 11:00 pm, we got a good nights sleep. No Cell service July 14th 19th.

 The drive trough Hwy 37  is spectacular, not much for wildlife this year but still awesome. Our first stop was Boya Lk.PP, found a nice site and set up. Later we took a walk down to the lake, they rent kyaks and canoes. They supply life jackets, a good thing. Three young guys took the canoe for a ride and about 300m out, they flipped it over. They were laughing about it at first, then the cold water hit home. Rather than just coming to shore and getting someone with a boat to get the canoe, they decided to swim to shore with it, could have been a big mistake. By the time they got to shore, they were pretty much done. One guy was in a lot of distress, tired and cold. I am sure there was no alcohol involved, lol, we were glad to see a positive outcome. This welcomed us to Boya. The mosquitoes were bad, so we used the thermocells to keep them at bay. That works in the evening but I don't use them when hooking up.
