Kettle Valley May 17th
We decided to explore the Christian Valley, just back up the road from the campsite. We drove and camped through here forty plus years ago and want to see if could remember any of it, not so much. It is a very pretty drive, with lots of wildlife. Mostly gravel road but it is in very good condition, at least right now. We drove till the road split, not knowing which one went to Cherryville, we decided to head back. A couple of photos from Christian Valley.
Wild turkey.
When we got back we went for a walk to look for a couple of caches, found one, the other still alludes us. We looked for it a couple of years back. Quite stiff breezes for our stay, so no campfires for us. Others in the campsite had fires but we could not see the point, as the wind blows all the heat away.
May 18th we drove into Osoyoos to do laundry and find a nice place to have lunch. We can not do laundry in the trailer when we are not hooked up. We have not had any hookups since Kamloops. Pat said, it was the most she has ever paid for laundry, over forty dollars, ouch. Would have paid for a full hookup site for a night, although, I don't think we would have gotten it all done in one evening. Lunch was very good, so not all was lost.
We are now in Grand Forks visiting with Patti and Bruce. We tried to get here last year but with the fires all routes at that time were closed.
We will be here till Mon. then we move on.
