Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Fintry PP
We left the lower mainland on Sat. 7th of May and headed up the Coq. to Kamloops. It was snowing on both of the high passes, luckily it was not sticking, just wet. Mostly cold and wet in Kamloops, some sun. Had a very nice time visiting with my sister, lunch at the Dunes. Other than some shopping not much else to report from there.
Next was Herald PP, very nice, we found a site in the newer part with lots of sun for the solar. So far the solar has been doing it's job, even with limited sun. Did some exploring around Salmon Arm on Wed. and found one cache. We went to the end of the road past the campground, very pretty views of the lake. Then we took a drive to White Lk, found a spot with a view of the lake and ate our lunch.
My sisters and spouses came out to the campsite on Thurs, and again we had a great visit. Always nice to catch up with family.
Yesterday, Fri, we drove to Fintry PP. The results of last years fire along the road to the park are shocking. Looks like it took out a few homes but a lot were saved. Can't imagine how scary that would have been.
Today we are going to hike up the the waterfall, wish us luck😀 We are going to hang around here for a couple of days then head for Grand Forks.
Cell service is good here, so I may post some photos of the falls later.
